Robic was born in Nanterre in 1960 with a Breton father and a Corsican mother. He studied at the Paris Fine Arts School and then entered the prestigous School of Decorative Arts after passing the entrance examination. He then attended the ESAM (Higher School of Modern Art) for two years of intensive study.
He started his career in advertising and created "First Day" postage stamps for the government and then became "Painter of the Army". From that time on, Robic devoted himself to serious painting. Twelve of his paintings have been acquired by the Cercle des Armees and President Mitterrand has purchased three of his works for his private collection. He has been the subject of many television reports in France.
Raphael Robic is a first class landscape painter. He paints gardens, rivers and floral compositions in which he gives new life to nature in perfect harmony...both luxurious and peaceful.
